5th Ikenobo Flower Arrangement Exhibition


Ikenobo Malaysia Floral Art Study Group will be holding its 5th Ikenobo Flower Arrangement Exhibition from 26th July 2013 to 28th July 2013 at the Perak Hakka Association, Jalan Bendahara, Ipoh. Entrance to the exhibition is free of charge.


The last exhibition which was held 3 years ago has generated a lot of interest among the public curious to learn more about the art of Ikenobo flower arrangement.


According to its principal, Professor Too Sooi Keng, most of the flowers used in this exhibition will be sourced locally, where some are plucked from the wild. There will also be some exhibits which uses bougainvillea as its main ingredient as it is the flower that symbolizes the city of Ipoh.


There will also be a charity corner in the exhibition to sell some of the students’ creations. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to Yayasan Dialisis Pendidikan Akhlak, Perak.


The exhibition will be officially opened by YB Dato Dr. Mah Hang Soon, YB Dato Ngeh Koo Ham, YB Nga Ko Ming, YB Howard Lee, YB Teh Hock Kee, YB Lim Pek Har, YB Ong Boon Piow, YB Cheong Chee Khing, and YB Paul Yong.


Members of the public are welcome to visit the exhibition. Details of the exhibition are as follow:
