HANDS Percussion Malaysia - Project Candlelight

Candlelight is a community project by HANDS Percussion Malaysia to highlight the plight of an estimated 33,000 refugee children in Malaysia. It aims to help these children impact their future through the benefits of music, drumming and group participation.

Donation of RM500 - Gets you 2 tickets for ‘Wind of Nomads’ or ‘Percussion Paradise’ - Provides 5 tickets, for 5 refugees to watch ‘Wind of Nomads’

Our Plan: - To arrange talks on ‘The Impact of Drumming’ and drumming workshops for the children. - To work towards their very own fund-raising drumming concert. - To create public awareness for these children.

Background Information: - HANDS have 20 years of experience in coaching different people, local and foreign. - A recent project with refugees was Maybank’s ‘Drum for Hope’ in the UK. - Drumming is a great tool for social skills and overall physical and emotional health.
