Once again, Sharpened Word is collaborating with SAMA SAMA, bringing to you Parti Komedi Rakyat.

Parti Komedi Rakyat features the best up-and-coming comedians in Malaysia sure to make you have a good time, and we're ready to rock Ipoh. After the full house debut in Ipoh on March 2019, PKR artists are committed to perform a scintillating half hour show for the Ipoh crowed in conjunction with MERDEKA Day SAMA SAMA.

A brief bio of PKR:

Parti Komedi Rakyat (PKR) is Malaysia’s newest left-of-centre without right-of-way comedy troupe that aims to make the rakyat laugh out loud from both sides of the aisle and beyond. This live stand-up comedy crew, based in KL, comprises multi-rascal performers that poke fun at all things Malaysian. They slay every sacred cow and take no prisoners in a fun, entertaining and mirthful show guaranteed to make you roll in laughter.

Mini Profiles:

Juliana Heng, the pocket dynamite that brings you a special brand of introspective comedy.
Shaq's sharp wit and tongue has entertained audiences in over 100 shows since 2016. Comedy is her way of dealing with life as a single, unconventional woman.
Abby's comedy is centered around transportation woes and on-line shopping. He's a foodie, movie buff and humanitarian.
James Soo is the Pun Master fron Subang Jaya, entertaining audiences with his unique nerdish humor.
Faisal Merican has been reading the news on radio for 20 years, and this has heavily influenced his comedy. He jokes about news and world events, but also loves word-play and oddball humour.
