Eugene Pook [Music Director & Clarinet]

Malaysian born conductor Eugene Pook has established for himself a versatile career as a conductor and clarinetist. His extensive network with international artists has enabled him to bring award-winning musicians to Malaysian shores, performing on stages across the country.

Currently serving as music director and conductor of the Kinta Valley Symphonic Society which he oversees two orchestras - the Perak Philharmonic Orchestra and the Kinta Valley Wind Orchestra, Eugene is also artistic director and conductor of the Kuala Lumpur Pops Orchestra, co-director of the Encounter Training Ensemble of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.

Eugene is now on a conducting tutor at the University of Malaya. He is also music staff at the British International School Kuala Lumpur.
