What's In Store This December!!

Did you just blink? Well, we are more than half-way through the month of October.

Blink again and you’ll be staring at school kids across the nation laying down their school bags for the year.

By the time you complete your next blink the sound of Christmas joy in four-part harmonies will be filling the stage of Wesley Methodist Church in Ipoh.

Yes, the end of 2018 is fast approaching. Very soon we will be peering into our ‘2018 Retrospectoscope’ reminiscing on those charming moments of the year gone past, and auditing our lives.

Now is the time to plan ahead. Fill the last chapter of your 2018 album. Bring your friends and family to hear our very own Ipoh-born, PSPA Singers stage a repertoire of Christmas Songs. If Silent Night and Joy to the World are the only Christmas songs you know, then come enjoy a fusion of both the old and new celebrating the hope and peace that is inherent in the Christmas message. It’s not just songs that you will hear. The 2nd half of the show features Charles Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol” painted with a local flavor. If you are familiar with this story it may be worthwhile even to invite your enemies along too! Who knows, the story may stir a change in them!

Also, making an appearance for the first time with the PSPA Singers is our Ipoh-bred ……… ………….NOT Ipoh White Coffee, BUT our very own SAXOPHONE ENSEMBLE. How’s that for a feast to end the year!

Perhaps you’ve always have a heart for the less fortunate and longed to reach out and help. Yet the busy-ness of having to navigate through the foliage of work-life prevented you from being able contribute much to the less fortunate.

Well, Christmas is a time of giving. It’s a reflection of God’s gift to mankind. Giving and receiving is inherent in the celebration. As in our first show previously, this edition of “The Chimes of Love Vol : 2” – is not just song and dance. It opens the door of opportunity for Ipohites to exercise their generosity. Don’t just come alone. Bring a friend or two who love music but lack the opportunity to watch shows like this. Tickets are FREE of charge. Patrons are encouraged to bring along donation(s) in kind. These donations will be channeled to charities supported by the church.
